Seahawks at Eagles Preview and Prediction

Wild Card Weekend

By: Julio Olmo

Now is all Eagles Nation needs.

These are the facts and they are indisputable,

  • Fact: The NFL thinks so little of ’em that league excluded the Philadelphia Eagles – and the Minnesota Vikings!, from their debut Wild Card Weekend Playoff Video Promo, it will only fuel these fan bases even more.

  • Fact: The Seattle Seahawks beat the Philadelphia Eagles on Week 12, so this a Revenge – We Have A Score To Settle type of game anyway.

  • Fact: Eagles’ quarterback Carson Wentz has silenced all of his critics with his Lunch Pail Workman attitude, unify all of Eagles Nation and won the respect of everyone of his teammates.

  • Fact: The Philadelphia Eagles have now made the post season for the third straight year, won the NFC East twice and the Super Bowl once.

Looking into the above facts and trying to find something to argue against, means that you’re a Special Kind Of Petty.

Key to the game?

Head coach Doug Pederson has to design some kind of gameplan to help out Carson Wentz and the offense to score points.

The entire Seattle Seahawks’ defensive unit was lights out last time the played Philadelphia and won 17-9.

They create turnovers and give quarterback Russell Wilson ( and the rest of his offensive unit) what seems to be endless opportunities to win games.

The Seahawks are not some unbeatable juggernaut. Their biggest win came by 17 points against the Arizona Cardinals and their other victories — including two overtime games — have been within one score.

Prediction?

Eagles 17 Seahaws 16.
