Shools with the most players selected during the 2020 NFL Draft:
Ohio State: 10
Notre Dame: 6
Oregon Ducks: 4 and Jacob Breeland signed with the Baltimore Ravens.
New York Jets (A+):
The New York Jets had a tremendous draft. This is a team that finished the season 6-2 in their last 8 games. Expectations were high coming into the draft and the Jets didn’t disappoint.
- They acquired one of the best linemen to come out of the 2020 draft class, Mekhi Becton.
- WR, Denzel Mims out of Baylor University.
- Safety, Ashytn Davis, who could wind up in the pro-bowl.
- Jabari Zuniga, who could get 10 sacks next season.
- La’Mical Perine who could split time in the backfield with Le’Veon Bell.
They drafted 5 players who will play right away and contribute.
Miami Dolphins (A-):
The Dolphins acquired their franchise quarterback in Tua Tagovailoa. OL, Austin Jackson and Db, Noah Igboghene. The Dolphins will be a legitimate threat to win the AFC East.
Buffalo Bills (B):
The Bills drafted edge rusher A.J. Epenesa out of Iowa and running back Zach Moss out of Utah. The Bills continue to build their team through the draft and free agency. They could win 11 games next year.
New England Patriots (B-):
Predictably, the Patriots focused on defense. Bill Belichick drafted D-II standout, safety, Kyle Dugger. They also selected edge rusher Josh Uche. Don’t be surprised if they Patriots don’t make the playoffs next season and draft quarterback,Trevor Lawrence.
Cincinnati Bengals (A):
The Browns drafted their franchise quarterback, LSU’s Joe Burrow. WR, Tee Higgins will become a No. 1 option. Linebacker, Logan Wilson should see a ton of playing time. The Bengals are in a tough division. If they win 6 games next year, their season will be a success.
Cleveland Browns (B+):
The Browns selected OL, Jederick Wilis who will help Baker Mayfield stay off his back. Safety, Grant Delpit could be the best safety in the NFL over the next five years. Jordan Elliott should help a good defensive line. The Browns improved their team from last season.
Baltimore Ravens (B+):
Linebacker Patrick Queen could lead the team in tackles as a rookie, he is that talented. J.K. Dobbins will be a perfect fill-in for running back Mark Ingram. Jacob Breeland, TE out of Oregon, will be another weapon for Lamar Jackson. Breeland will make plays over the middle.
The Ravens should make the AFC Championship game.
Pittsburgh Steelers (B-):
WR, Chase Claypool is 6’4, 230lbs. He has the size, strength and mental toughness to play in Pittsburgh. He will become a fan favorite in no time.
Los Angleles Chargers (A):
The Chargers have a plethora of talent on both sides of the ball. Adding quarterback, Justin Herbert and LB, Kenneth Murray will bolster their offense and defense. Both could make the pro-bowl in a few years. Los Angeles is the 2nd best team in the AFC West
Denver Broncos (A-):
The Broncos stocked up on offensive talent. Jerry Jeudy, KJ Hamler and TE Albert Okwuengunam should help Denver keep their defense off the field. Jeudy had a tremendous career at Alabama.
Kansas City Chiefs (B-)
RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire, out of LSU, will be a perfect fit for the Chiefs offense. He can catch the ball out of the backfield and break tackles for big runs. the Chiefs have 20 of their 22 starters returning from their Super Bowl winning team.
Las Vegas Raiders (B-)
Henry Ruggs III has elite speed and can be the Raiders version of Tyreek Hill. CB Damon Arnette is the question mark here. Most had him going in the late 2nd round. Las Vegas picked him at No.19.
Jacksonville Jaguars (A-)
C.J. Henderson could be the best defensive back to come out of the draft. K’lavon Chaisson is a playmaker on defense. The Jaguars could have an elite defense as early as 2021. Offensively, they will continue to struggle but if they draft a franchise quarterback next season, they can compete for the division in 2022. WR Laviska Shenault should get plenty of reps on offense.
Indianapolis Colts (B+)
WR Michael Pittman Jr. will be a very productive pro for the Colts. Jonathan Taylor should be the featured running back in a deep field. Quarterback, Jacob Eason could eventually be their starting quarterback. All three of these players could start for the next 5 seasons in Indianapolis.
Houston Texans (C)
Bill O’Brien wanted to improve his defensive line and he did that by drafting DT Ross Blacklock and edge rusher Jonathan Greenard. The Texans will take a step back this year. I do not see them making the playoffs.
Tennessee Titans (C)
OT Isaiah Wilson will be a punishing run blocker. He fits the Titans system perfectly. CB Kristian Fulton out of LSU has had some off the field issues, but when focused, he is a playmaker.
