NBA: What Team Will Land Anthony Davis?

25-year-old, Anthony Davis has requested a trade from New Orleans. Davis and his agent made it abundantly clear that the all-star forward has no intentions of singing with his current team in the off-season. This is the worst possible scenario for the Pelicans. They have no leverage in trade talks now. Teams will not be willing to “sell the farm” to get Davis because the entire world knows he wants out of New Orleans. No matter what team he plays on, Davis will be the #1 option on offense. Davis is averaging 29.3 points, 13.3 rebounds, 2.6 blocks and 1.7 steals.

Possible scenarios:

Davis to the Los Angeles Lakers:

The Lakers have young talent they can offer. Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball and an experienced Center in JaVale McGee. Over the past few weeks, Jhalil Okafur has played very well for the Pelicans. He is finally looking like the 3rd overall pick in the draft. Losing Davis would be tough but you have three young starters, all under 25 years of age, with this trade.

Davis to the Boston Celtics:

Boston has a plethora of draft picks and young talent. They would have to trade players like Jayson Tatum, Jalen Brown and Aaron Banes. Tatum has all the makings to be one of the best small forwards in the NBA.

Davis to the Toronto Raptors

What would it take for Toronto to land the former Kentucky star? Would Serge Ibaka, Pascal Siakam and Fred VanVleet be enough?

Davis to the Milwaukee Bucks

This could be the “Dark Horse” but Milwaukee could offer, Malcolm Brogdon, Khris Middelton, Brook Lopez and Thon Maker.

Davis to the Golden State Warriors

Would the Warriors be willing to trade Klay Thompson and Draymond Green for Anthony Davis?

My guess is LeBron James and Magic Johnson land Davis.
