NBA: The Top 10 Greatest Dunks of All-Time

On March 11th, 2020 the NBA suspended their season. NBA fans are hungry for basketball. Here is a flashback of the top 10 greatest dunks off all-time. Let the debates begin.

Honorable mention:

Julius Irving’s dunk on Michael Cooper was one of the highlights of DR.J’s Hall of Fame career. For years, this was considered, one of the best dunks of all-time.

10) Most fans don’t remember Gerald Green playing with the Nets. This dunk is athletic, graceful and powerful all in one. His head was over the rim.

 

9) Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen both dunked over Patrick Ewing.

 

Pippen taunts and embarrasses Ewing after his monster dunk. New York fans have wondered for decades why Ewing didn’t go after him.

 

8A) Baron Davis dunk on Andre Kirilenko was so dirty, Davis tried to take off his shirt and get naked right after.

 

8B) Dwayne Wade with the spin move and powerful dunk. There is a reason Wade is considered the greatest Miami Heat player of all-time.

 

7) Dominique Wilkins is the greatest dunker of all-time. Just enjoy his highlight reel. 

 

6) Kevin Johnson dunks on Hakeem Olajuwon. “The Dream” was considered one of the greatest defenders and shot blockers of all-time. Johnson’s dunk is the stuff legends are made of.

 

5) Shaquille O’Neil dunked so hard on Chris Dudley, the Knicks center had to get a pregnancy test after the game. Results were negative.

 

4) Sean Kemp was one of the best dunkers in the history of the NBA.

 

3) John Starks became a legend in New York with this move on the baseline. Knicks fans will always remember this dunk. 

 

2) Vince Carter dunked over Frédéric Weis in the 2000 Olympics. Many consider this the greatest dunk of all-time. 

 

1) Once again a New York Knicks player, Mark Jackson, gets posturized. Tom Chambers knees were on Jackson’s neck. This is the greatest dunk of all-time.
