Mid-Season Rankings For all 32 NFL Teams

#32) Miami Dolphins: (0-7).
The Dolphins are pathetic, incompetent, dysfunctional and they are wasting their season. Miami is now 0-7 and they are last in almost every offense category. They are tanking, trying to stock-pile draft picks. This organization has 2 winning seasons in 15 years, so why would anyone think this team knows what they are doing?

#31) Cincinnati Bengals: (0-7).
The Bengals are now 2-15 in their last 17 games. What more needs to be said.

#30) Washington Redskins: (1-6).
This is an organization that once had Sean McVay, Matt LaFleur and Kyle Shanahan as assistant coaches. McVay went to the Super Bowl last year and Shanahan and LeFleur have a combined, 12-1 record this season.

#29) Atlanta Falcons: (1-6).
Dan Quinn is supposed to be a defensive coach but his defense is one of the worst in the NFL. The Falcons are giving up 31 points per game which is ranked 31st. Matt Ryan was injured in Sunday’s loss. Quinn will be fired before the season is over.

#28) New York Jets: (1-5).
As long as Adam Gase is on the sideline, the Jets will never be a legitimate threat to win long-term. This teams has talent on both sides of the ball but their coach and ownership are incompetent.

#27) Denver Broncos: (2-5).
When Joe Flacco is your answer at quarterback, you had better change the question. The Broncos defense isn’t as good as we expected and their offensive line is one of the worst in the NFL. John Elway has done a terrible job over the past few years.

#26) LA Chargers: (2-5).
The Chargers have lost 3 in a row. This team has quit on their coach. Their next four games will be brutal. They have to play Chicago, Green Bay, Oakland and Kansas City.

#25) NY Giants: (2-5).
Daniel Jones has struggled over the past few weeks. The rookie is completing 61% of his passes, has 6 passing touchdowns, 7 interceptions and 6 fumbles.

#24) Tampa Bay Buccaneers: (2-4).
The Bucs have to cut ties with Jameis Winston. He has 10 interceptions on the season and the most turnovers since 2015.

#23) Cleveland Browns: (2-4).
The Browns have a quarterback and offensive line that appear to be overmatched. Baker Mayfield is ranked 30th in completion percentage, 25th in QB rating and has thrown 11 interceptions, that is the most in the NFL.

#22) Pittsburgh Steelers: (2-4).
The Steelers could win 8 games this year. The Bengals are historically bad and the Browns are struggling. Mike Tomlin has never had a losing record as a head coach.

#21) Jacksonville Jaguars: (3-4).
Gardner Minshew is completing 61% of his passes. He has 10 touchdowns, 2 interceptions and 3 fumbles. Leonard Fournette is averaging 5 yards per carry. Losing Jalen Ramsey will hurt this team but they should be competitive for the rest of the year.

#20) Detroit Lions: (2-3-1).
The Lions aren’t as bad as their record would indicate, but as long as Mathew Stafford is their starting QB, they will never win their division. Stafford has never had a signature win in his entire career.

#19) Tennessee Titans: (3-4).
The Titans made a quarterback change, they should have made a coaching change. Mike Vrable runs the most conservative and predictable offense in the NFL. His coaching philosophy is straight out of the 1980s. Vrabel doesn’t know how to use a dual threat quarterback like Marcus Mariota.

#18) Chicago Bears: (3-3).
The Bears traded up to draft Mitchell Trubinski. They passed on players like Christian McCaffrey, Deshaun Watson and Patrick Mahomes. The Bears have an elite defense but it is hard to stay motivated when your offense can’t move the ball or score.

#17) Arizona Cardinals: (3-3-1).
The Cardinals are better than most experts predicted. The book is still out on Kyler Murray. He has 7 touchdown passes and 4 interceptions.

#16) Oakland Raiders: (3-3).
Based on their schedule the Raiders could win 8 or 9 games. They still have to play the Chargers, Bengals, Jets,Jaguars and Broncos. Rookie, Josh Jacobs has rushed for 554 yards.

#15) Philadelphia Eagles: (3-4).
The Eagles are 12-11 since winning the Super Bowl. Over their past 2 games, Philadelphia has given up 75 points.

#14) Indianapolis Colts: (4-2).
Frank Reich is an outstanding coach. This team has a very good offensive line, a solid defense and Jacoby Brissett is playing as good as any quarterback in the NFL. He as 14 touchdowns only 3 interceptions and a passer rating of 101. This team could make the playoffs, without Andrew Luck.

#13) Carolina Panthers: (4-2).
The Panthers have won 4 in a row without Cam Newton. Kyle Allen has completed 65.6% of his passes, has 7 touchdowns and 0 interceptions. Allen should be the starter for the rest of the year.

#12) Houston Texans: (4-3).
Deshaun Watson is having an MVP-like season. He is winning games despite an average offensive line and a defense that can’t get off the field. Watson is 13-5 in his last 18 starts.

#11) LA Rams: (4-3).
The Rams seem to have a Super Bowl “Hangover”. Acquiring Jalen Ramsey will help them in the secondary. He is still considered the best cornerback in the NFL. Their offense has looked lethargic and out of sync. The Rams have too much talent not to make the playoffs.

#10) Dallas Cowboys: (4-3).
The Cowboys are the Jekyll and Hyde of the NFL. They play good one week, bad the next. At what point does Jerry Jones give up his love affair with Jason Garrett?

#9) Buffalo Bills: (5-1).
The Bills are very well coached and have a very good defense. Josh Allen has 8 turnovers and 7 touchdowns in their first 6 games. He has also been sacked 15 times. Allen is a very good running QB but still struggles to make basic throws. This team is limited offensively.

#8) Minnesota Vikings: (5-2).
The Vikings have one of the best rosters in the NFL. If they can keep getting production out of Kirk Cousins, they can be a Super Bowl contender.

#7) Seattle Seahawks: (5-2).
Russell Wilson continues to win. He is completing 68% of his passes, 15 touchdowns and 1 interception. He can carry a team for a quarter, a half or an entire game.

#6) Kansas City Chiefs: (5-2).
The Chiefs will be without Patrick Mahomes for about a month. They are not as good as they were last year.

#5) Baltimore Ravens: (5-2).
Is Lamar Jackson a better version than Michael Vick? He is completing 63% of his passes, 14 total touchdowns and 5 interceptions. He has rushed for 576 yards and is averaging 6.9 yards per rush. He is the ultimate dual-threat. The Ravens are leading the NFL in time of possession and rushing yards. John Harbaugh is doing a tremendous job in Baltimore.

#4) New Orleans Saints: (6-1).
The Saints have won 5 games in a row, without Drew Brees. New Orleans has one of the best rosters on both sides of the ball. Michael Thomas has 62 receptions and 763 yards on the season. Alvin Kamara can get 100 yards on the ground or catching the ball out of the backfield. The Saints could win the Super Bowl, with or without Brees.

#3) San Francisco 49ers: (6-0).
Over the past three games the 49ers have given up a total of 10 points. This team has the best young defense in the NFL. Nick Bosa and Deforest Buckner could be the best defensive duo in the league. San Francisco just acquired Emmanuel Sanders from the Broncos. That should help them on offense. I am still not sold on Jimmy Garoppolo, he has been a game manager so far.

#2) Green Bay Packers: (6-1).
The Packers are one of the few teams in the NFL who can win in a high scoring shoot-out or a low scoring affair. Their defense is a top 5 unit and their offense is a top 5 unit. They continue to win despite losing their best wide receiver, Devante Adams. Running back, Aaron Jones, has 9 total touchdowns and Jimmy Graham has found the fountain of youth.

#1) New England Patriots: (7-0).
Bill Belichick has been more active with his team’s defense and it shows.

The Patriots defensive rankings:
1st in total yards.
2nd in passing yards.
2nd in rushing yards.
1st in points against.

This is the best team Bill Belichick has ever had. New England Just acquired Mohamed Sanu from the Falcons. He could easily become Brady’s #2 target. The Patriots will win 10 or more games for the 17th straight reason. That is an NFL record.

My pre-season prediction was the Packers vs. the Patriots in the Super Bowl… I am sticking with it.
