The Miami Heat will face off against the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2nd round of the Eastern Conference Playoffs.
The Heat swept the Indiana Pacers 4-0. Goran Dragic has been one of the best point guards in the post-season. He is averaging 22 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game. Jimmy Butler scored 19 points per contest in the 4-game series. The Heat have a ton of shooters who surround their center Bam Adebayo. Tyler Herro, Duncan Robinson, and Jae Crowder have all providing scoring from beyond the arc.
The Milwaukee Bucks lost their first game of the series to the Orlando Magic, 122-110. Over the next four games, the Bucks outscored the Magic, 471 to 413, to win in 5 games.
The Bucks are led by one of the best two-way players in the NBA. Giannis Antetokounmpo is leading Milwaukee in almost every category. He is averaging 31.2 points, 15.8 rebounds and 6.8 assists per game. Their No.2 option is Khris Middelton and he disappeared in the first round, averaging 13 points per contest. Eric Bledsoe, Wesley Mathews, George Hill, and Kyle Korver all are averaging over 8 points per contest.
This is the battle of one dominant player, Antetokounmpo, against several good players on the Miami Heat. The Bucks were the No.1 ranked defensive team in the regular season and they led the NBA in point differential. Middleton can not be a spectator like he was in the first round. He must average 17 or more for the Bucks to advance.
Take Milwaukee in 6 games.
