Justin Turner Hitting On And Off The Diamond

Justin Turner

This season the Dodgers have been crushing it and sit in first place in National League West. With a 71-40 record including 46 wins at home a big part of that has been Justin Turner who is doing his part with 50 runs batted in and 17 home runs. Turner is also doing it off the diamond with his Justin Turner Foundation which has done a lot of great work in the Los Angles area. Now another exciting partnership as he has teamed up with REX a forward-thinking real estate company that uses technology to match up buyers and sellers of homes. To learn more about them check out REXHomes.com. With it’s fixed commission rate and being a jack of all trades company REX is changing the real estate game.

In the month of August REX will be donating  $1,000 for every homerun Justin hits, $500 for every triple, $200 every double and $100 per single. The foundation was started by Justin and his wife Kourtney in 2016 and helps the following:

Support homeless veterans and their families

Children and their families battling life-altering illnesses and diseases

Numerous youth baseball organizations

In today’s climate where negative news takes the lead, it is great to see Justin always taking a lead to do something positive to help those around him improve their lives. Without cameras or big media fanfare, he has time and time again shown that being a valued member of his community is as important to him as our his stats on the baseball field. Having the mindset to help those who bravely protect and serve, says a lot about him and Kourtney. No doubt that August will be a big month at the plate for the fan-favorite at 3rd base. Make sure to watch the action when the Dodgers take on the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Joe (Cartright) Cardoso here! I’m the epitome of a sports junkie. An alum of the College of Southern Maryland, I received a diploma from the Maryland Institute of Broadcasting (MIB). During my tenure at MIB, I was a news/sports major and had the opportunity to intern at Fox 45 sports and Ravens Radio. I also worked as an overnight board operator for Sports Talk 980 ESPN Radio. I’ve been a total sports fanatic pretty much from the womb. My first love is soccer followed by basketball and then football. My favorite athletes are Kevin Garnett and Marino Rivera and my sports teams are the Yankees, Redskins, Michigan, Wizards, and Chelsea. My passion for sports is never ending. My sister once commented that I would probably follow pig racing if it was a sport! I had to agree. Nuts and Bolts Sports is a HUGE deal to me. It brings together others who share my obsession and love for everything sports and fulfills a life-long dream to bring sports news to fans my way.
