Georgia Southern University is making bounds and strides with its athletic programs. On Friday, June 19, Georgia Southern Athletic Director Tom Kleinlein announced on Twitter that the Men’s Basketball program would be traveling to Durham, North Carolina to compete against the Duke Blue Devils. The game will happen later during Duke’s non-conference schedule on December 15.
The game time and television schedule hasn’t been announced yet; however, Kleinlein hinted that there is possibly a chance for national exposure:

It will be the third ever meeting between the Blue Devils and the Eagles. Duke has won the previous two match ups.
As of December 31, 2014, the Blue Devils hold a 116-game non-conference home winning streak, which dates back to 2000. The last time Duke lost a non-conference home game was against St. John’s on February 26, 2000, when the then No. 2 Blue Devils lost 83-82.
The Blue Devils won the 2014-2015 NCAA Division I Basketball tournament by defeating Wisconsin, 68-63.
Georgia Southern will be competing in their second year in the Sun Belt Conference. The Eagles went 22-9 in during the 2014-2015 season, and lost to Georgia State in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament Championship game.
