College Football’s Top 25: Post Week 8

By: Kristen Ashly

Week 8 brought more thrills and chills, as Florida State’s 1,113-day ACC winning streak ended at the hands of Georgia Tech late in the fourth quarter. Utah suffered an upset at the hands of interim-coached USC. Ohio State suplexed Rutgers to stay at the No. 1 spot once again.

Elsewhere, Clemson jumps ahead of LSU and TCU in this week’s list, up to No. 3 after destroying Miami, Saturday. Memphis and Tulsa combined to score more than 100 points, and the Tigers are still unbeaten. Michigan State is, too, with an easy win this week. Stanford kept up the moment this season, this time against Washington, and after the performance this week, the Cardinal should be considered a serious College Football Playoff contender.
