The road to Los Angeles is set and it starts in New Orleans.

Ice Cube and Jeff Kwatinetz shared vision of a player-centric basketball league focused on entertainment and innovation a few years ago.

Among those innovations, they introduced the 4-point shot, with three 4-point circles beyond the 3-point line and – as it’s always the case when these two guys started working together approximately 25 years ago, the rest is history.

The BIG3 was on fire over the weekend — with a ton of huge stars hitting the American Airlines Center in Dallas for the BIG3 Ballout…capped off with a live performance from T.I.

The place was rockin’ … with Ice Cube, LL Cool J, Gary Payton and more showing support for the league’s intense 6-game showcase just one week before the playoffs begin.

The road to the championship ends on September 1st at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

“Basketball fans should definitely check out the BIG3. The players are serious competitors and know how to put on a show!”, Magic Johnson

“An honor coming from one of the greatest to ever play the game and one of the most brilliant business minds of our time! More real, hard-nosed, competitive, 3-on-3 basketball is coming your way…”, Ice Cube

When Magic Johnson tells you to check out the BIG3, check out the BIG3 – cause, he’s Magic Johnson…”, Amy Trask

Heading into the playoffs the triplets are the clear favorite to take home the Julius Erving BIG3 championship trophy, after nine weeks of competition.

The playoff field for the 2019 season of the BIG3 was set after the league’s Ballout Festival in Dallas and defending champion Power came out of the gate strong to start the season, but it soon became clear that the Triplets, led by soon-to-be BIG3 MVP Joe Johnson, is the team to beat.

BIG3 is a professional 3-on-3 basketball league, featuring former National Basketball Association (NBA) and international players. The league was created by rapper/actor Ice Cube and entertainment executive Jeff Kwatinetz
