5) #4 Georgia dominates #7 Auburn:

The Georgia Bulldogs led 10-0 at halftime before defeating they Auburn Tigers 27-6. From start to finish, this game was a mismatch. Georgia rushed for 202 yards and had 486 total yards to Auburn’s 288. Kearis Jackson had 9 catches for 147 yards. Most experts thought this would be a rebuilding year for the Bulldogs. They do not rebuild, they retool.

4) Oklahoma playing like it is 1999:

The Oklahoma Sooners lost to Iowa State 37-30 on Saturday to drop to a shocking 1-2. It is the first time the Sooners have lost back-to-back regular-season games since 1999. Lincoln Riley should take his talents to the NFL. Over the past 3 years Oklahoma participated the Final Four playoffs with three different quarterbacks. Baker Mayfield, Kyler Murray, and Jalen Hurts. All three of those QB’s are now in the NFL. Riley should look to coach the Atlanta Falcons, New York Jets. or the Detroit Lions next season.

3) UCF is eroding:

In 2016 Scott Frost took over a UCF Knights program that was coming off an 0-13 season. The following year UCF went 6-7. Frost led his team to an undefeated 13-0 record in 2018. Frost is now coaching the Nebraska Cornhuskers and we are starting to see UCF falter. With Frost’s recruits, Josh Heupel has compiled a record of 12-1, 10-3. The Knights lost to an 0-1 Tulsa football team, at home, 34-26. Heupel is not as intense, as prepared or as good of a coach as Frost and the program is starting to suffer.

2) Is Tom Herman in trouble in Texas?

The #9 Texas Longhorns lost to an 0-1 TCU team, at home, 33-31. After the loss, Sam Ehlinger said the Texas “deserves better” from its football team. “Losing bothers me the most. This university deserves better. And it’s very frustrating when it’s self-inflicting and it’s preventable by attention to detail and playing the way we all know that everybody is capable of playing in this program.” Herman is a good coach but if he keeps having losses like this, he will be out of a job.

1) Alabama is a Wide Receiver factory:

The #2 Alabama Crimson Tide defeated the #13 Texas A&M Aggies, 52-24. John Metchie has 5 catches for 181 yards and 2 touchdowns. Jaylen Waddle had 5 catches for 142 yards and 1 touchdown. Devonta Smith had 63 catches and 1 touchdown as well. This unit could be the deepest and most talented in college football. Mac Jones threw for 435 yards and 4 touchdowns. This offense looks better than it did last year with Tua Tagovailoa.
