5 Things We Learned About Week 10 In The NFL
By: Monte Perez
There are several teams who are no longer in playoff contention. It will be interesting to see who gets benched, who gets fired, and who shows their fans they want to compete and not tank for a higher draft pick. The NFL rewards incompetence. The Jets and Lions have been to 1 Super Bowl combined, yet they keep getting top draft picks. If I was Roger Goodell I would give the No.1 draft pick to the team with the best record that did not make the playoffs. Why reward losing year after year?
5 Things We Learned About Week 10 In the NFL:
5) The Dolphins offense is now complete:
When Tua Tagovailoa starts and finishes a game, Miami is 7-0.
Going into this weekend the Dolphins averaged 89 rushing yards per game. Against the Cleveland Browns they ran for 195 yards. Jeff Wilson and Raheem Mostert are a two-headed monster. This team could win the AFC East and get home-field advantage in the playoffs.
4) Have the Rams become the Lakers of the NFL:
In 2020 the Lakers won the NBA championship. They did this by trading young players for Anthony Davis. They gave up their future to win a title and it worked. The Rams have taken a similar pather but lost to an Arizona Cardinals team without Kyler Murray, 27-17. I continue to believe that Sean McVay took the off-season off. He won a Super Bowl and didn’t put the time in this off-season to be more creative. The Rams will not make the playoffs and they look slow, sluggish, and uninspired, just like the Lakers.
3) Tampa will win their division:
The NFC South is horrible. The Falcons run their offense like it’s 1950, the Panthers are tanking and the Saints still believe in Andy Dalton over Jameis Winston. Todd Bowles is not a good coach, he is a coordinator, but this team finally found a running game yesterday in Germany. The Bucs beat a good Seattle Seahawks team, 21-16. Tampa rushed for 161 yards and held the Seahawks to 39 rushing yards. The Bucs will make the playoffs.
2) Is Dallas in jeopardy of making the playoffs?
The Packers scored 9 points against the Detroit Lions two weeks ago. They scored 31 points against the Cowboys in their overtime victory. The NFC East is what experts thought the AFC West would be. Going into Monday the division is as follows:
The next few weeks should decide their playoff fate. They still have to play the Vikings, Giants, Eagles, and Titans, four playoff teams.
1) All of these coaches should be fired:
