The #3 Georgia Bulldogs will travel to Tuscaloosa to take on the #2 Alabama Crimson Tide. Nick Saban has been diagnosed with COVID-19. He will not be on the sidelines this weekend.

Alabama’s offense has been unstoppable. The Crimson Tide have scored, 38, 52 and 63 points in three weeks. Mac Jones is the best quarterback in college football that no one talks about. He is completing 79 % of his passes, has 8 touchdowns, and only 1 interception. Najee Harris is averaging 6.7 per carry and his backup, Brian Robinson is averaging 6.4 yards per carry. This is the best wide receiving group in college. Jaylen Waddle, Devonta Smith, and John Metchie all have over 289 receiving yards in their first 3 games.

Alabama’s defense gave up 48 points last week to Ole Miss. I expect them to clean up their mistakes, but this is not the Alabama defense we are used to.

Georgia is 3-0 and over the past two weeks they dominated Auburn 27-6 and outscored #14 Tennessee in the 2nd half, 27-0 as they won, 44-21. Georgia has been an NFL running back factory, but this group has underperformed. They are only averaging 3.8 yards per rush. Kearis Jackson and George Pickens provide a solid 1-2 punch at the wide receiver position. Georgia’s defense has played well at times and they have 10 sacks in three games.

Alabama, even without Saban on sidelines, is too good offensively. I expect both team to put up points. Saban is 21-0 against his former assistants. Make it 22-0 on Saturday.

Take the Crimson Tide, 38-30.
