Washington Wizards Schedule Released For 2015 – 2016 Season By: Patrick Waring

By: Patrick Waring

The NBA released the full schedule for the 2015 – 2016 season last night. Many fans rushed to look for season openers, rivalry games, playoff rematches and the Christmas lineup.  Some rumors were circulating, but the official schedule was unveiled Wednesday evening.

I wanted to take a look at what the league came up with for the Washington Wizards and what games fans should look forward to (Spoiler Alert – No game on Christmas).

Oct  28 – Wiz @ Orlando Magic

The season opener for the Wizards.  Fans will get the best look at the new lineup after Pierce’s departure.

Oct 31 – NY Knicks vs Wiz

The home opener.  Carmelo, former Wizard Kevin Seraphin and company will visit the Verizon Center.  I’m sure Wale will have something special for the fans.

Nov 10 – OKC Thunder vs Wiz

KD comes to D.C.  We can play the “count how many KD2DC signs are in the bulding” game during timeouts and at halftime.

Nov 28 – Toronto Raptors vs Wiz

First meeting since the Wizards swept the Raptors in last year’s playoffs.  Also Wale vs Drake.

Dec 1 –  Wiz @ Cleveland Cavaliers

The team will visit LeBron James and Kyrie Irving.

Dec 2 – Los Angeles Lakers vs Wiz

Could be Kobe’s last trip to Verizon.  Always packed with Laker fans.

Dec 28 – Los Angeles Clippers vs Wiz

First meeting with Paul Pierce.  Fans should react well to The Truth prior to tip off.  Probably different after.

Jan 18 – Portland Trailblazers vs Wiz

Portland will have a totally different look this season, but this game is on MLK Day and will be played at 2pm.  Always a great game to attend.

Feb 3 – Golden State Warriors vs Wiz

Battle Of The Backcourts.  Splash Brothers vs House of Guards.  Should be an entertaining evening in Washington.

The Wizards will also have an interesting West Coast trip beginning at the end of March.  A five game trip against the Lakers, Warriors, Kings, Suns and Clippers.  It should be a good indicator of where the team is at that point.  Fans in Washington are hoping that the Wiz will be heading to their third straight playoff appearance, only staying a little longer this time.
