About a year ago when I first really started writing for an online sports website (that wasn’t this one) I wrote a small article about how the Dallas Stars were on the come up and to look out for them in 2014-2015, well that did not work out this last year. Well, last season they did not fare all too well missing the playoffs but coming into this season they look to change that. So what did they do? Well first they made a deal with the Chicago Blackhawks to bring┬áPatrick Sharp to Dallas for only some minor picks and prospects that really won’t effect anything in the coming┬áseasons, Sharp is that veteran presence that the Stars need to go with Jamie Benn and Tyler Seguin. Now the second and biggest move was the acquistion of Johnny Oduya who may just be the last major piece the Stars need to complete their defense. So where do I see the Stars ending up this coming season? Well seeing as how they are in a division with the Blackhawks, Blues, and the up and coming Avs they will definitely be able to burst onto the scene and make a deep playoff run, in all honesty I can see this team making it all the way to the Western Finals most likely being taken down by the Kings or the Ducks.
