Return of the Top 25: College Basketball Post Week 3

By: Kristen Ashly

The Top 25 has made its comeback, and this time, with one of my favorite sports: college basketball. The speed, the hunger, the excitement. NCAA Men’s Basketball has arrived, and already I’m (im)patiently waiting for March Madness.

I took a few weeks to assess the situation, and am starting my top 25 action post Week 3. We’ve got a lot of movement in this week’s rankings. No surprise, as the Thanksgiving-week tournies provided a winter blizzard of unexpected results. The Big 12 makes appearances three times in the top 10, while Maryland and Michigan State hold steady at No. 2 and 3, after refusing to stay down, last week.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, you’ll see Kentucky is at the top. Purdue sits roughly in the middle, with Cincinnati not far behind.

The big matchup this week features No. 2 heading to No. 9, where Maryland will play North Carolina; the Heels will get Marcus Paige on the floor for the first time this season

Below is my top 25. Return next week to see where your school sits.
