NBA Season 2017-2018 Questions

By: Joe Cardoso

Wasn’t it just last week that Kevin Durant hit that ice cold three over LeBron James to win his first championship and send Dub Nation into trunt up mode for the summer? Well the rest of the NBA did not like how things went down at all. Feels like as soon as the last of the bubbly hit the floor teams went to work on how to dethrone the Warriors. As someone who is not shy about sharing his dislike for them, I was all about it. This has to be hands down the most exciting, wild. Crazy, unpredictable offseason in league history. Don’t get me wrong things still start and end with Golden State, BUT some teams made moves that should make for a fun season with enough drama and mouthwatering plays for us all. Rather than do team previews which the outstanding TEAM NBS writers will knock out the park I just have some questions for teams and players heading into the season.

  1. Can anyone REALLY challenge the Warriors? And if so who?
  2. No one is talking about the Spurs at all are they set up to be a force is this the year they finally fall back?
  3. Anyone else as hype to see the 76’ers as I am? Hands down my second favorite team to watch?
  4. Did the Celtics really improve that much from last year’s team?
  5. Are the two biggest questions for the Thunder: Who gets the ball in the last few minutes, and which version of Melo shows up? Or am I missing something?

  6. The new format of the All-Star game should make for a great event do you agree?
  7. My top 8 in each conference in order are…

-East-Cavs, Celtics, Wizards, Bucks, Raptors, Heat, Pacers, Hornets

Cavs, Celtics, Wizards, Bucks, Raptors, Heat, Pacers, Hornets
-West-

Warriors, Thunder, Rockets, Spurs, Timberwolves, Clippers, Blazers, Grizzlies

  1. Are the Wizards and John Wall ready to take the next step?

  2. How long can the Trailblazers JUST have Dame and CJ?
  3. Ok, Tibbs you have some REALLY good players what will the Timberwolves do?
  4. Who is the team no one is talking about but should be?
  5. Are the Bucks real or all hype? And can we please get a FULL season from Jabari Parker NBA Gods? Asking for a friend.
  6. Which new “Super Team” gels the fastest? My money is on the Rockets
  7. Love it or hate it Lonzo Ball and the Lakers are going to be so much fun to watch. How many wins for them?
  8. Did the Cavs do enough?

I am here for all the trash talk, Instagram shade being thrown, pettiness and great basketball. Next week I’ll be back with another set of 15 hoop questions. As the kids say WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE!

Joe (Cartright) Cardoso here! I’m the epitome of a sports junkie. An alum of the College of Southern Maryland, I received a diploma from the Maryland Institute of Broadcasting (MIB). During my tenure at MIB, I was a news/sports major and had the opportunity to intern at Fox 45 sports and Ravens Radio. I also worked as an overnight board operator for Sports Talk 980 ESPN Radio. I’ve been a total sports fanatic pretty much from the womb. My first love is soccer followed by basketball and then football. My favorite athletes are Kevin Garnett and Marino Rivera and my sports teams are the Yankees, Redskins, Michigan, Wizards, and Chelsea. My passion for sports is never ending. My sister once commented that I would probably follow pig racing if it was a sport! I had to agree. Nuts and Bolts Sports is a HUGE deal to me. It brings together others who share my obsession and love for everything sports and fulfills a life-long dream to bring sports news to fans my way.
